Luis Peralta is an 18-year old pianist from Oakland, California. He began playing piano at seven, quickly embarking on a serious study of Classical and Black American Music (Jazz). In 2017 he performed Alex Conde's Concierto Para Piano Flamenco y Orquesta as a soloist with the Oakland Youth Orchestra. Luis was a member of the SFJazz High School All-Stars Big Band from 2017-2019. In 2020, Luis will attend The New School on a full-ride scholarship. Currently, he teaches piano and plays around the bay with musicians such as Marcus Shelby.
