Hi! I’m Alex, a jazz and classical pianist and composer. I’m currently in the SFJAZZ All-stars Combo and was a 2019 National Young Arts Winner and a recipient of the Jazz at the Ballroom Scholarship. I love teaching and have extensive knowledge of music theory and piano technique. I am a junior at SF University High School, where I taught a jazz improvisation class over the summer. I have trained classically for many years at the SF Conservatory of Music, and have performed solo and in a duo (with my brother Lucas) in numerous concerts including Noontime Concerts and the SFCM Ragtime Celebration of Scott Joplin’s 150th birthday. Outside of music, I enjoy following the NBA, playing Ping-Pong and chess, and listening to music. I would love to help you with your music, so feel free to reach out!
